In January 2019, the producer prices of industrial producers rose by 0.1% over the same period last year, down by 0.6% compared to the same period, and the purchasing prices of industrial producers rose by 0.2% over the same period last year, down by 0.9%.

I. Changes in industrial producer prices over the same period

In January, producer prices fell by 0.1% over the previous year, affecting the total producer price of industrial producers by about 0.10 percentage points.

Among them, the price of extractive industry increased by 1.2%, the price of raw material industry decreased by 1.6%, and the price of processing industry increased by 0.3%.

The price of living goods rose by 0.6% over the same period last year, affecting the total producer price of industrial producers by about 0.15 percentage points.

Among them, food prices rose 0.8%, clothing prices rose 1.6%, general commodity prices rose 0.3%, durable consumer goods prices were flat.

In the purchase price of industrial producers, the prices of building materials and nonmetals increased by 6.4%, the prices of ferrous metal materials increased by 1%, fuel power prices increased by 0.3%, and prices of non-ferrous metals and wires dropped by 3.3%.

In January, producer prices fell by 0.8% in the factory producer prices, affecting the total producer price of industrial producers by about 0.57 percentage points.

Among them, the price of the extractive industry dropped by 1.2%, the price of raw material industry decreased by 1.5%, and the price of processing industry dropped by 0.4%.

The price of living goods is flat.

Among them, prices of food and durable consumer goods decreased by 0.1%, clothing prices rose by 0.2%, and general commodity prices remained unchanged.

In the purchasing price of industrial producers, the price of fuel power decreased by 2.1%, the prices of non-ferrous metals and wires dropped by 0.8%, ferrous metal materials prices dropped by 0.6%, and the prices of building materials and nonmetals remained unchanged.
